About the Book: The Mind of a Finisher

What inspired The Mind of a Finisher? According to Apostle Chris, it began as a personal challenge. As someone who often starts many projects, he recognized the need to cultivate the discipline and mindset to finish what he began. This revelation became a sermon—and then a book.

“The reward is not in the beginning,” he says. “It is in the end.”

The Mind of a Finisher is an action-oriented guide filled with biblical principles, practical steps, and personal reflections. It empowers readers to break through procrastination, overcome obstacles, and finish their God-given assignments. Drawing on the example of God Himself—who is not only Alpha, but also the finisher of our faith—Apostle Chris urges believers to reflect the nature of their Creator by completing what they start.

The Congo Influence

Pastor Chris attributes much of his mindset and work ethic to his Congolese upbringing. Raised in a large household by a single mother, he learned early on that what matters most is not what you start, but what you accomplish.

“At the end of the day, she would ask, ‘What did you do?’—not what you started, but what you finished.”

This value of excellence and completion continues to shape his writing, his ministry, and his message.

Writing as a Calling

Writing did not come without challenges. For Apostle Chris, one of the greatest lessons has been the importance of authenticity and knowing your audience. He wrote The Mind of a Finisher with his church members in mind—especially young people who start well but struggle to follow through. His goal? To equip them with tools, biblical encouragement, and the mindset to finish.

His advice to aspiring Congolese writers:

“You have a story to tell. No matter how small, your experience can inspire someone. Just start writing.”

Where to Find the Book

The Mind of a Finisher is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble in both English and French. Other titles by Apostle Chris Fire include Speak Like God, The End Time Generation, and more—with future releases planned in both languages.
